Outdoor Ice & Weather Conditions

The Historic Folsom Ice Rink is an outdoor rink and is subject to changing weather conditions throughout the day. While our team works hard to maintain the ice and Zamboni the rink between sessions, sunshine, warmer temperatures, rain, wind, and other weather conditions can affect ice quality and skating conditions.

As with any outdoor ice rink, conditions may vary from session to session and may not always result in a perfectly smooth ice surface.

Safety is our priority. If rain, severe weather, or other conditions make the ice unsafe for skating, sessions may be delayed, modified, or canceled. Weather-related decisions are made based on conditions at the rink at the time of each session.

If your group event was booked through our event team and inclement weather requires the rink to close, we’ll work directly with you to reschedule your event for another available date.
