After the parade, stick around for fun activities throughout the Historic District to keep the celebration going. Enjoy special offers from businesses throughout the Historic District!
Parade Entries:
The Historic Folsom Hometown Parade is a beloved tradition, drawing enthusiastic crowds from Folsom and surrounding communities. Parade entries will open in April 2025, and we’re on the lookout for vibrant, fun, and engaging floats created by spirited groups, organizations, neighborhoods, and local businesses. With its charming setting, Historic Folsom offers the perfect backdrop to celebrate the heart and soul of our community.
Past entries included Folsom City Council members, zoo docents, Folsom Police and Folsom Fire, Old West Legends, local businesses, dance crews and many more.
The parade welcomes participation from all, with a limit of 25 individuals per group marching in the procession. However, groups are free to have additional members supporting them from the sidelines.
Maximum Height is 12 Feet – this is for safety! There are hanging lights across Sutter Street.
Now is the time to start planning and deciding if your group would like to have a presence in this beloved community tradition.

Would you like to be a volunteer?:
In preparation for our Hometown Parade June 28, 2025 we are seeking 50-60 volunteers.
Must be able to be on your feet for 3 hours and sport a great attitude throughout. Also, depending on your placement, you may not be able to see the parade. If you are able to volunteer your time, please contact the Folsom Historic District Association at (916) 985-7452. Thank you! Volunteers ROCK!
Volunteer duties may include monitoring road barricades to ensure safety and prevent unauthorized vehicles, assisting with parade staging and supporting the Staging Lead, helping with setup along Sutter Street, and answering guest questions (like directions to restrooms, etc.). There may be a few additional simple tasks, but nothing too complicated—we’re just looking for friendly, helpful folks to keep things running smoothly!
